Clever Cake Cooking With Your Kids

By Jenni Snook

Kids love to help and it makes them feel clever when it comes to cooking cakes. By making them a part of the process of cake cooking, they learn about responsibility early as well as the useful skill of cooking.

Treat cooking as a chance for bonding between parent and kids and this makes it more enjoyable. The kids should be restricted to assisting in tasks suitable for their age.

Your younger child cracking the egg may not be the best choice. However, if you crack the egg open and let him/her put the egg into the bowl it can make them feel that they have truly helped.

There's no doubt that all kids love to taste food especially some chocolate frosting left on the beater. The only way kids learn is by taking part.

It's ok if they get a bit of icing on their fingers and cheeks because the time spent with your kids can be priceless.

You can make your kids feel important by letting them do simple things. The best thing would not be to let them play with dangerous utensils but instead to let them play with a ball of dough.

It's so much fun cooking with the kids that the kids themselves don't know that they are learning a valuable skill.

Cooking with your kids and as a family is a great way to keep your children talking. Keeping them involved in things like cooking lets they know you think they are special.

Don't fret about the little messes the clever little ones make, enjoy the thrill of watching them taste their cake creation. Remember this moment always. Before you know it, your kids will no longer be kids. Hence, it's great to create special memories by cake cooking with them.
